Mike Cavaye is a senior digital health executive with over two decades of experience leading transformation across NHS Trusts, integrated care systems, and working with national programmes. As Director of KCL Digital, he partners with health and care organisations to shape person-centred strategies, modernise clinical service models, and deliver sustainable value through digital and non-digital innovation.

Mike has developed and delivered digital strategies for multiple NHS organisations, secured funding for major programmes, and crafted compelling cases for change that align clinical priorities with operational and financial goals. His leadership spans modular EPR implementations, UX-led service design, cloud-first transitions, and the integration of AI and open data architectures to support intelligent, scalable health systems.

Beyond merely digital, Mike has led workforce and organisational development programmes focused on productivity, cost savings, and turnaround support. He has helped modernise care pathways and service models to meet evolving population needs, and regularly advises boards on aligning transformation with strategic outcomes.

Mike has experience assisting charities and third-sector organisations in strengthening their digital and operational capabilities, and works with HealthTech startups to shape market access, secure investment, and align solutions with clinical and system priorities. His advisory experience includes strategic input for large firms navigating the heath and care market.

A CHIME Certified Health CIO, FEDIP Leading Practitioner, Fellow of the BCS, and graduate of Imperial College’s MSc in Digital Health Leadership, Mike has been a regular speaker and faculty contributor at CHIME and Digital Health events. He is known for building high-performing fusion teams, challenging legacy behaviours, and delivering inclusive, adaptive services fit for the modern age.
